Kirstie Eykyn
Photography is a passion of mine, from taking pictures using my sister's camera at the age of 12, to studying for A-levels and then going on to Birmingham City University to procure a degree. Photography is a way to capture the world around you and create connections with people.
My photography passion is Landscapes and the Passage of Time; however I also photograph and explore genres of: Still Life, Astrophotography, Motorsports and Wildlife. I have a drive to learn new things and have created my own home darkroom including developing negatives as well as prints. I've taught myself a range of photography techniques from zoom bursts to long exposure to split second photography.
I've dabbled in creating environmentally friendly Photography using cyanotypes and plant-based developers. I've used a range of cameras from Digital DSLRs to Mirrorless to Film and even have some experience with Pinhole photography done with a 3D printed camera.
